Sauna is highly valued in the Estonian culture – it´s relaxing, cleansing, healing and good for spirit and relationships. Year 2023 is dedicated to saunas in Estonia and together with Eesti Maaturism ( Estonian Rural Tourism NGO) we invite you to clean up saunas! Tidy the rooms, check the fire and water safety, clean the surroundings of the sauna and secure the water bodies nearby. All this is providing the sauna users a nice, healthy and safe sauna experience. Whether the sauna is in the countryside or in a basement in a city, we encourage you to pay attention also to the sauna culture.
Depending on the sauna the works could include cleaning the sauna rooms, checking the technical systems (electricity system, water system etc), cleaning and securing the surroundings, especially the water bodies nearby
